This one is a build-in-public note. I'm partway through taking PeakRank Digital down the Claude Partner Network path, and rather than wait for a finished story, here's the honest middle of it — what the journey has involved so far and what it's teaching.
The path so far
It's been a staged process, by design. An application, an initial review, approval to move forward, an invitation into the partner portal, accepting the network's terms, and then the real work: onboarding through the learning path and getting the team certified. None of it is a rubber stamp — each stage expects you to actually do something before the next unlocks.
Proof, not vibes
The thing I appreciate most is that the programme rewards hard evidence rather than marketing. Standing is measured against concrete things — certified people, real production work for customers, references that can be checked. You can't talk your way up; you have to show your work. That's an uncomfortable, healthy discipline, and it quietly makes you a better firm whether or not anyone's watching.
A programme that rewards proof over polish forces you to become the thing you'd otherwise just claim to be.
Where we are, honestly
We're on the path, not at the summit. I'm being deliberately careful not to overstate the milestone — there's a real difference between doing the work toward a standard and having formally arrived, and I'd rather be accurate than impressive. When we reach the next milestone, I'll share it properly.
Where it's going
The destination is a recognised, accountable Claude practice serving South African and African businesses — and a place in an ecosystem that's only going to get more important as AI moves into production everywhere. The disciplined route is the slower one in the short term and the only durable one in the long term. That trade is the whole strategy.
